Plug guide for Asia

Asia is the most varied region for plugs. Japan uses Type A and B at an unusual 100 V (the lowest in the world); China mixes Type A, C and I at 220 V; India runs Type C, D and M at 230 V; the Gulf states and ex-British Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia) use Type G; and Israel has its own Type H. Most of Asia is 220–240 V at 50 Hz, with the Philippines, South Korea and parts of the Middle East at 60 Hz. A universal adapter is almost always the safer bet here.
