Plug guide for Africa

Africa is overwhelmingly 220–240 V at 50 Hz. Southern Africa (South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini) uses the large round-pin Type M; East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania) and most ex-British colonies use Type G; West and North Africa lean European with Types C, E and F. Plug shapes vary even within a single country, so a multi-region adapter is sensible. Voltage rarely differs from Europe, so no converter is needed for most modern electronics.
